A logbook you can hold in your hand – and what lies behind it.

Why the logbook exists

Every year it was the same for us: the new year had begun, but the new logbook had not – by the time one had been bought, about two months had usually gone by. That is why this one starts in the month you choose and is ready as a PDF after a few seconds.

Paper, not another app

In the stable, no battery and no signal will help you. A book lies by the stall, anyone can write in it, and whoever leafs back after six months sees the whole course at a glance – without signing in and without anyone reading along. You simply take it with you to the vet appointment.

That is why the result is a PDF and not an interface: at the end there is an object that belongs to you.

How it is made

• The preview is the book. What you see while designing is not a picture, but the same template the PDF is made from. So it cannot look any different from what you were shown.
• Print-ready, not ‘that’ll do’. Every book is checked before it is delivered: page count, format, margins, fonts – if anything comes too close to the trim, it is not delivered at all. Soon also for the print shop, with bleed, crop marks and embedded fonts.
• Formats of their own for home printers. Not the print-shop PDF on a different paper size, but typeset anew: larger type, more writing lines, room for the punch holes.

What matters to us

• No advertising, no tracking. We set no cookies. We count which pages are read (visitor statistics), but we don’t know who you are unless you tell us.
• Your data stays in Switzerland. The application and the database are in Zurich.
• Keep as little as possible. Finished PDFs disappear by themselves after 30 days – without an account, the whole order does. With an account, only the details of your logbook remain, so that you can find it again.
• What it says here applies. If something on these pages is wrong, that is a mistake, not small print.
